I've really been overwhelmed by the response. As of today, I've received 222 book donations. We're well on our way to surpassing the goal of 350 books by August 1. Keep them coming!

I received this email yesterday from Charlene Hoffer, Director of the Vandergrift Public Library, after receiving the first shipment of books. She asked me to pass it along to everyone.

Hey Mark!

We received a box of books from you last Friday. Thank You. I am still in awe of you doing this.

The books we've received have such varied titles. A well rounded collection we will have thanks to you and your friends. Please thank them for me.

I have been preparing for your books for some time now by weeding old books from our shelves. Not "good" old books but old, damaged books.

It's been exciting to think about your books arriving.

You might also want to know that our library has received grants to update our wiring and lighting, renovate a bathroom so it is accessible and open to the public AND hopefully, have enough money left over to have a HVAC system installed.

I do hope I get to meet you sometime.
